Bridal, Cowboy and GroupShoot.

Last Wednesday I modelled in Damien Lovegrove’s Bridal Fashion Workshop at the Manchester Hilton. I worked alongside Damien, Fab make-up and hair artist Emma Mackenzie and 5 other photographers. Everyone was lovely to work with and I had such a good day.

I haven’t done much Bridal work, so I was looking forward to the day very much, Damien brought along some amazing dresses for me to wear, I was very pleased indeed.

Emma Mackenzie provided some stunning make-up skills and hair-work for the day.

We shot in and around the Hilton in Manchester, including the very lovely Cloud 23 lounge and we had a stunning skyline view of Manchester from the very top, really cool :)

Here are some images from the day.

Cowboy

Myself and Adrian shot a video a while back, just for fun, we used the music from one of my favourite artist Kid rock ‘cowboy’.

Adrian worked really hard editing and getting it looking cool, It was so much fun shooting, I really enjoy the performance of video work.

Hopefully I will be doing a lot more video work this year and I hope to develop my acting skills too, as this is something I am very keen on pursuing in the future.

Adrian is also putting together a video workshop with myself the 20th and 21st of April.

Check out arcphotos website for more information on this workshop www.arcphotos.co.uk.

Group shoot at Arcphotos

I was pleased to put on another groupshoot at arcphotos studio last Saturday, I was also very pleased that it sold out. I was a little worried photographers may not have been able to make it due to the bad weather caused by the snow, but lucky for me everything went smoothly.

I had photographers come down from Newcastle and Carlisle without any problems.

The group-shoot was fantastic, a great day with some really talented photographer’s, I did a mix of fashion, lingerie and art nude for the shoot and there was some great shots from the guys :).

My next group shoot at arcphotos will be held on Saturday 30th March-10am till 4pm £60 each photographer all day in.

If any photographer’s are interested send me a email to book on carla@carlamonaco.co.uk,

Here are a few from Saturday.

Happy New year, Best of 2012.

Happy New year and Best of 2012.

My last shoot of 2012 was at the Christmas camera club at arcphotos (www.arcphotos.co.uk) in Preston, it was probably one of The best camera clubs I have done. Everyone had a really good time, the energy was great, Myself and the brilliant Model Tinted Cream ( http://purpleport.com/portfolio/tintedcream/) modelled for the night and what great fun it was.

Here are some images from the night :)

Christmas Time.

I had myself a merry little Christmas with my Adrian and Alf, which was just lovely and very special :).On the other hand  I thought I was rather clever buying Adrian a Playstation 3 for Christmas, I think I have lost him to the game lol, but then again he has been teaching me to kill zombies on call of duty, I have to admit I rather like it :) lol.

2012 was such a brilliant year for me, professionally, creatively and Personally.

I tend to not always look back once I have done something, I enjoy the experience at the time and then move on to the next project and adventure.

Being a new year and considering I have done so much in 2012, I have been looking back in my work from last year and I have chosen some of my favourite images to share with you.

Just a few of my favorite images of 2012 :)

New work

First shoot of the year was with Bartlomiej Starzowski and make-up artist Ces Bradbury shooting some beauty shots.

It is always a pleasure shooting with Bart and Ces as they are very professional, Talented and are very lovely people as well.

I hope to do more beauty work this year as I really love the creativity that goes into them and also I appreciate the skill and hard work of the team involved.

I wish you all

 a very Happy New Year,

Work, Christmas and thank you …..

What a busy and fantastic few weeks it has been for me, with Christmas to plan for and work and family, I defiantly have been a busy bee indeed.

After my South-west tour, I had a few days to chill and relax and refuel, travelling takes it out of you  but we must always remember to rest and make time for ourselves, so I did just that.

I spent time with family and Mr crookie and Alf, I also enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree, we did not have a Christmas fairy to put on the top, so I made my own, Kate moss with a cig, our very own Christmas fairy ;).

I always leave my Christmas shopping to last minute every year, this is my own fault as I am well lazy and hate crowded shoppers. I did brave the Primark the other day though, its hard core in there, nearly got knocked down in the knicker isle in the Preston one, good job I’m hard Liverpudlian lol.

Saturday 8th December.

This was my slot day at arc-photos in Preston, the day was sold out, so I thank all the photographers who came.

Alistair Wright and his friend Donald came all the way from Scotland to shoot, which was really cool and they also gave me two tutus to keep from the shoot, which I was really happy with, shame I can’t dance lol.

Shame I can’t dance :( lol

Here are a selection of just a few images from the day, thank you guys :).

Sunday 9th December.

Sunday was another busy day for me at arc-photos, I was shooting with James Wani and Adriana Mirtus.

I was really impressed with James as he drove all the way from London to shoot me in Preston and He is such a lovely chap indeed. We had a really cool fashion shoot and I am glad James enjoyed the shoot and got out of it what he wanted, considering he came all the way from London, thank you  James.

Later on in the day, I was shot by the lovely Adriana, even though on the day she wasn’t well at all and was dosed up on medication, she still came to shoot me, which I thought was really good of her.

Adriana brought along her projector machine and we shot some cool art nude, which different backgrounds from the projector, It was different for me but totally cool and I loved the results from the shoot.- Thank you Adriana.

Monday 10th December.

I shot with The lovely Les Auld in Southport, Les was lovely as always and I am glad he liked the shots, as the lighting equipment was giving him hassle throughout the shoot, which is always a pain.

Thank you Les.

Tuesday 11th December.

Tuesday I was in Birmingham shooting with Chris Sinnett, who was nothing but a pleasure to work with. We shot at the Tip Top studios in Birmingham, Chris wanted to do edgy fashion nude style as well as art nude and I think we got some really cool images. Chris is a lot of fun to work with and brought along some jaffa cakes and Chocolate Pretzels, which is always cool, thank Chris.

Wednesday 12TH December.

Wednesday was camera club at Adrian’s studio arc-photos in Preston, I sometimes do it from time to time as it is really great way to network and meet other photographer’s.

This night our model could not make it :( so I step in to do the night and I fully enjoyed it.

All the guys were fun and really good photographer’s and it is great to see them try out new things in photography and learn from each other, which is what camera club is all about.

Check out some of the images from the night.

Friday 13th December

Friday myself and Adrian, shot our Christmas image that we have wanted to do for sometime.

We took inspiration from a image we came across, with a model wrapped in fairy lights and wanted to produce our own version.

The shot was not an easy one to model I can assure you, The shot was nude and the position I was in on the floor hurt the elbows and giving a good expression at the same time was tough but I am so pleased how it came out. Adrian as per usual as done a great job, he done great with the lighting and getting the image just right, really proud of what we did.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We also did a jeans shoot too, check out the images :)

Jeans

Monday 17th December.

I did a shoot with the talented photographer Ian Austen, it was a simple step up, me in a Benny Hat and Jeans, what more to you need lol.

Thanks Ian for a great shoot and some really cool images :) check them out.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy Birthday, very thoughtful of you all and I had a lovely day with Crookie and Alf, Baileys was consumed and I was very merry hahah.

I have had such a great few weeks, well a great year in-fact, I want to thank everyone who has made my year such a great one.

I have met and worked with so many lovely people, I want to thank you for letting me have such a great career, I never thought I would be doing this job a year ago, so thank you for the support and I wish you all A Very Merry Christmas x x x

South West Tour …..

I finally got the chance to go back down south last week and do my south west tour, It was just brilliant from start to finish, met some really lovely people and I will definitely be going back down again :).

Wednesday 28th November 2012.

I was kindly being put up at Stefano Brunesci House near Bath in Somerset, a photographer who I shot with in the summer.

I travelled up in the late afternoon on the Wednesday a day before my booking started as I was booked early on the Thursday morning and Stefano said I could come up the night before which was cool, saved me getting up mega early on the Thursday morning, I am not really a morning person lol.

The journey down went perfectly and I was rather impressed by the T.V screens on the Bristol train,

dead posh down south, don’t get that up here on the northern line lol.

Stefano picked me up at the station and drove us back to the house and we had some tasty Thai Curry and then it was bed for me as I was well and truly tired.

Thursday 29th November 2012

Thursday I shot with the lovely Chris Lloyd from Swindon. Chris kindly came and picked me up from Stefano’s house and the he drove us too Banbury to shoot at Eye for an Image studio.

The drive was quite long but we had a good chat and I thought it was kind for Chris to drive me all the way, as it saved me getting the train up.

We shot for 4 hours at the studio and we did a range of looks and styles from fashion, art nude, lingerie. The shoot was very enjoyable.

After the drive back from shoot to Stefano’s house, I was really tired, sometimes I think the travelling can tire you out more. So to say the least it was food and then bed for me.

Image taken By Chris Lloyd.

Friday 30th November 2012

Friday I shot the whole day with Stefano, The last time we shot was so much fun and the images we did were such a success. I felt we both worked really well together and produced some quality work that we were both proud of. This time we wanted to do something different and not repeat what we have done on the last shoot.

The first look was something we called Kate moss in Hollywood lol, which was myself with Hollywood style curls and make-up but with a modern edgy attitude croosed with sexy high energy.

We put some cool punky music on by The Semi Precious Weapons-really cool band from New York and there front man Justin Tranter is very colourful and cool indeed, check them out.

The semi Precious Weapons.

I think it is important to just let yourself go and get into character when shooting, you have to feel what you are doing, as it makes for the best expressions, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t and you get some really funny shots indeed but if it works you get the best images.

I have learnt from photographer’s who shoot high fashion like Adrian and Stefano that you just have to let yourself go, try different faces, sometimes it may look silly but if it works, you will find something different, strong and totally cool.

Myself and Stefano also did a lot of strong looks with heavy eye make-up and slicked back hair, wet hair, fun with some strappy belts and also topples in the kitchen smoking a fag, as you do ;)  it just had to be done lol .

Great shooting with Stefano, he is a pro and his style is right up my street, watch out for more images coming soon :)

Saturday 1st December 2013

Saturday was my studio day at Hengroves studio’s in Bristol. The studio was brand new and I was holding the first model-studio day there which was really cool.

Stefano was kind enough to drive me all the way to Bristol getting me there before 9.00am, saving me getting up mega early and catching a train.

Martyn who runs the studio has done such a great job doing it up, really good studio.

Lucky for me and the studio day was sold out 9.am till 7pm, a long day but was well worth it.

The photographer’s who bought slots were-

  • Kim Rajjie Mare Rowland -Bang  Tidy Photography

  • Steve Avatar Photography

  • Marcus Jake-Fine Art Photography

  •  Digitally Damaged Photography

  • Howard Evans-H at A1 C C

The whole day was so much fun, each photographer brought there own style and skill to each shoot, and they were all really nice and easy to work with, so it made my job even easier.

Here are a selection of some of the images from the day.

Sunday 2nd December.

Sunday I shot with the lovely Paul Claridge in Bristol.

When travelling back down to Bristol, I had to get two coaches as the trains were off as it was rails were getting work done, so a coach it was.

The scenery was very pretty so it made the journey a lot better and the sun was shining down too so it very pleasant.

I met Paul at Bristol Parkways and he then drove us too the house we were shooting in.

Carla Monaco

It was a really cool and modern style house built in the 70’s and just great for shooting in.

Paul was a lot of fun to shoot with, really nice, very creative and the whole shoot was fun.

We  did some shots with a lamp shade, nudes, tights, hats and a cigar which was new for me but I actually liked quite pretending to smoke haha you have to admit smoking in images is cool :)

After the shoot I was back on the train heading home.

It took about 3 hours on the trains back, I had such an amazing time in the south west.

Everyone I worked with was nothing but lovely and kind and I thank you all for making me have another brilliant experience in this modelling world.

Even though I really enjoyed myself I couldn’t wait to get home to Mr Crookie and Alf I missed them so much x x x

Big thanks to Stefano for putting me up in his house and looking after me and everyone I worked with and met, I shall see you all again soon.

Lots of Love

Tour of Scotland

Last week I ventured on my Scottish tour, and I have to say it was one of the best things I have ever done.

After weeks and weeks of planning, sorting tickets, train times clothes etc., it finally came together and what an adventure it was.

Thursday 18th October

Last Thursday My lovely Crookie (Adrian lol) went to Preston station with me to see me off, I spent 4 and half days away from him which was the longest we have spent away from each other since we have been together, so I missed him so much.

It took about 2 and half hours from Preston to Glasgow on the train, the time just flew by and with the use of crookie’s trusty ipad (he loaned me his lol) I was there in no time.

My first stop was Glasgow and then changed at queens street to get to Falkirk, soon as I got off the train in Central station Glasgow, I just loved it, the people are so friendly and helpful and always up for banter, which I love, so felt comfortable there straight away.

Image taken by Alistair Finlayson.

I was kindly put up by Photographer Alistair Finlayson in Falkirk for 3 nights, He has modelled hosted for quite a few models on tour in Scotland and he was such a joy to be around.

After having a nice cup of tea with Alistair, we got into doing a shoot in Alistair’s own studio, we did a range of looks, styles and Alistair gave me a lesson on lighting and light room, which was very useful :).

After shooting with Alistair and he kindly drove us both to McDonald’s and we got some food yay!!!,  We were both starving lol.

Friday 19th October

The next day Friday, I was shooting with the brilliant Ian Mcinnes in Glasgow at Contrast studio’s, Ian contacted me through purpleport to arrange a shoot, I was very flattered as Ian work is top and very cool and he only uses the best girls, so I was chuffed he wanted to work with me.

Ian came to meet me at queens street, even though I told him I was at central (I got confused) poor lad came all way round the other away to meet me though, I am very dizzy at times lol.

We shot at contrast studio’s which is in central Glasgow, all the other guys in the studio were very cool, down to earth just like Ian. We got some really cool shots and had a laugh also, which is the key to a good shoot I suppose.

I am going to work with Ian again in the near future, looking forward to it :).

Images taken by Ian Mcinnes

Straight from Glasgow, I had to get back to Falkirk, as I was booked with The lovely Douglas Kerr, We had planned to shoot together last year but it never happened, but I was delighted he wanted to shoot me again in Scotland, We had a great shoot and laugh together and then nice cup of tea at the end of shoot, with Alistair :).

Image taken by Douglas Kerr.

Friday night, I was absolutely exhausted, The travelling definitely takes it’s toll on you for sure, I would recommend any model doing tours, to rest well and make sure to eat properly to.

Sometimes we can be in such a rush, going from place to place, shoot to shoot and forget to eat until quite late, definitely keep your energy levels up and make time for food and rest :) x x x

Saturday 20th October

Saturday, I was back up in Glasgow, I shot with the energetic and fun David Kane back at contrast studios.

David warned me that when he shoots he tends to get hyper as he goes on, which he did but was lots of fun and the energy was just right for our shoot. Lots of outfit changes and different styles over the three hours, I think everything was covered from natural light, glamour, fashion, art nude and lots of silly faces, which is always good :). Great shoot with David so it was and thanks for the fruit pastels too, they made my train journey a lot more fun back lol :).

Instagram taken by David Kane.

After shooting in Glasgow, I went back to Falkirk to shoot with Alistair Wright and Donald from Edinburgh, who I have shot with many times and I always look forward to shooting with them :).

The shoot was brilliant and we covered lots of different styles and different lighting from what we have done before, and Alistair and Donald were so sweet and gave me a present from Scotland, a beautiful tartan scarf. Thank you so much guys it was very lovely of you and I shall see you hopefully in December either back in Scotland or in Preston.

Sunday 21st October

Sunday I got up early and curled my hair ready for my shoot with the fantastic Trevor and Faye Yerbury. I have been a fan of the Yerbury’s work for quite sometime now and I was delighted that they wanted to meet and shoot with myself.

Alistair kindly drove me to Bathgate station on the Sunday morning where I met Trevor and he took me back to the Yerbury studio, at there home.

After having a nice cup of tea with both Trevor and Faye at there home, we then got ready for our shoot.

Faye Yerbury, is just fabulous at Hair styling, she parted my hair in a different way than I would normally do it, and it looked so good. Faye then styled my hair with a sort of high quiff, and with it being curly that day, it look so cool and different, I was very pleased indeed.

I did my own make-up, which I am starting to get better at, I pick up a lot of tips from every make-up artist I work with, and the more practice you get the better you get too, so I was pleased with the make-up I did on the yerbury shoot, If I do say so myself lol hehe.

Working with Trevor and Faye was pure joy, they are so professional, Talented and very down to earth and cool people too.

I will look forward to future projects together, thank you Trevor and Faye.

After shooting with Trevor and Faye, I then had to get the train from bathgate to Haymarket and then on to Aberdeen lol.

When I got on the Aberdeen train, it was so crowded, I ended up standing up at first and did think I would be standing up all the way from Haymarket to Aberdeen, which wouldn’t of been too good :(.

I got a seat in the end, ear-phones in, music on and I was there in no time.

I stayed at the park inn hotel while in Aberdeen, it was a nice hotel and really close to the studio I was shooting in so all was good. When I got to my hotel room, I just had some food and fell asleep, I was so so tired, and had to be up and ready for 8.0 clock lol.

Monday 22nd October

Monday I was shooting with a group of photographers throughout the day at a local camera club In Aberdeen.

Guy Carnegie shot me first for two hours, we shot figure nudes, and we did some really interesting work and I was so pleased with what we achieved, I am looking forward to seeing the final edits, Guy was lovely  to work with and very talented too.

Sneak Peek

This image was taken By Guy Carnegie and is totally unretouched,

just a sneak peek of what we did in Aberdeen.

I then shot with 3 other photographers throughout the rest of the day and Guy stayed around to help them with the lighting, all the photographers were lovely people and they all got some cool shots and it was a pleasure to work with them all.

Aberdeen was brilliant, and I will be going back up in the new year for sure :).

I then went back down to Preston, I think it took me about 5 hours in total from Aberdeen, but it was so worth it.

 The River Dee

One of many of the lovely views from the train journey home.

Thank you to all the photographers I worked with and met, I have to say I have a little soft spot for Scotland now.

All the people were just charming and so down to earth, I will be back soon :).

It was so nice to see Crookie and Alf on the monday night, missed them so much :) x x x

Thank you all again

 Lots of Love

100 faces, Preston Guild and a Banned Bottom x x x

Brilliant few weeks guys, after getting over my illness three weeks ago I haven’t felt better, back to work is GOOD!!!.

I was delighted to hear that the images from a shoot myself and Adrian took part in,organised by Luke Richards to celebrate the Guild coming to Preston, where chosen to go into the 100 faces of Preston.

Lucky for me and Adrian are images along side 98 others where displayed in St. Georges shopping centre as part of the 100 faces of Preston exacerbation.

By Luke Richards.

I feel very proud and honard to be part of such a great project and to be a part of the guild in Preston, well is pretty cool indeed. Even though I am not technically from Preston lol, I have been working here (I type this while sat at a computer at arc studio and listening to Q radio lol) in Preston solid for a year, I have met some amazing people (Adrian) so I suppose Preston have adopted a scouser, sort of lol.

A little information on the Preston Guild.

Preston Guild is a historic celebration, which dates back to1179-sharing a heritage of over 800 years. It is the only guild to be celebrated in the U.K and as such is truly unique.

Held only every 20 years, the 2012 is the first guild in The 21st century :).

1902

So many celebrations were to be had the last 2 weeks, concerts, parades, vintage weekend to name just a few. It was such a delight to be a part of this guild and I will always remember it :).

Visit http://www.prestonguild2012.com/ for more information on what was on at the guild and what you missed out on :P x x x

Bum Gate.

This week as also been a funny one as I was surprised and amused that one of my images that I posted on facebook was removed by facebook, as someone reported the image as obscene, therefore the image was removed and I was given a ban from the site from posting for 24 hours, brilliant lol.

The image was one of my bottom, nothing threatening just my behind. It was taken by the fantastic Fashion photographer Stefano Brunesci,

My first ban from facebook, how rock and roll of me lol.

It made me think a lot about the content which is present on facebook, as I have seen so many offensive images floating about on the site and they seem to get left alone but others who are much more tame get there backsides kicked, excuse the pun lol.

Behind

The Behind shot, Taken by Stefano Brunesci.

I think maybe facebook should introduce a 18+ filter like they do on sites such as purpleport, modelmayhem etc, as in this model, photographer industry we are all in,

we all use facebook a lot for work, well I do a lot, If I get a ban it stops me from connecting with people.

This sucks considering it was such a tame image but It has made me giggle a lot and some of the jokes have been priceless, thank you all, love a bum joke lol.

Will be careful now when posting I suppose, well for now anyway lol :).

Well I am busy at the moment organising my Scottish tour (it is a bit sad calling it a tour considering I am not Beyonce or Rihanna but hey I can pretend lol).

I will be up in Scotland for the 18th-22ndof October, I can’t wait as I love Scotland and there are so many amazing photographers up there, I am going to have a blast.

I am also excited to show you all my new video coming very soon, I shot it last week and it was lots of fun indeed, watch out for it :P x x x

Have a great night everyone and stay safe.

Lots of Love

The Dream Team on Location xxx

Monday was an excellent day

with

 Photographer Adrian Crook,

 Stylist Ruby Henderson

 and

Makeup Artist Jemma Stokes

The team had been organising this shoot since February, when Adrian first ask myself to test with him on a fashion shoot.

When Adrian first ask me he told me there would be some nudity involved (topless) at the time I had not done any topless or nude work so I was a little nervous but it was something I really wanted to do myself. The reason I wanted to start doing nude work in my modelling was because I felt it would expand my portfolio and push myself to get better as a fashion model. I think to be brave and confident with one’s body is very important in this industry as a model and I am extremely comfortable now doing nude work and my favorite nude modelling is fashion nude as I feel it is the most challenging and for me a lot more interesting.

The concept for the shoot was to created an editorial look on an industrial looking Location.

The style of the outfits was created by Ruby Henderson who is a Lancashire based Freelance wardorbe Stylist, specialising in Fashion and Creative styling. Ruby made A beautiful necklace out of Metal wires, melted bin-bags, chains, watches and jewelry. It was truly stunning and it was placed and sat on my chest, almost looking like a top, even though it was a necklace.

The make up was created by Jemma Stokes from Preston who gave me a heavy smokey eye and nude lips and flawless foundation that complimented the styling greatly and made the overall look dramatic and strong.

The location was in a derelict building in Preston which was just fantastic, there was so many places we could of shot and we were spoilt for choice really. Adrian spotted a place for me to stand first of all which to our luck had a sunspot shining down at the time. I quickly got up there and we shot only a few frames and we got the shot we wanted in a matter of minutes. This was just complete luck and timing really as the sun came just as we wanted it to and is shown through some breaking glass and gave us an amazing light to work with.

The next look was a white corset that Ruby made herself and styled, on one side it was cut below the breast, so I had my right breast on show, which gave the look a more edgy and high fashion feel, the detail on the corset was suburb and I truly loved wearing this piece. Jemma changed the style of the eye make up and gave me a ‘Mono-brow’ which actually worked so well as it made the look really different and futuristic, which was so cool and again different for myself.

I had so much fun on this shoot, It is so cool to work with so many talented people who get the job done but also have a giggle too :) I have been so lucky this past year, as I have worked with so many lovely and talented people, I truly am grateful as I have learnt so many wonderful things from each of them  :)  :)

‘The Dream Team’ were just fab on Monday and I will look forward to working with them all again soon, if they will have me that is lol x x x

Lots of Love

My fab time in Somerset shooting with Stefano Brunesci and Madam Bink :) :)…….

Well this week I had a little adventure travelling down South to Somerset to shoot with the Talented folk Stefano Brunesci and Madam Bink.  Stefano and Madam Bink contacted me a while back to see if I would like to work with them, and of course I was interested as their work is not only equally unique but very beautiful to look at and I think outstanding, so I was very flattered that they wanted me to go down and shoot with them.

To shoot with Stefano, I had to travel down to Bath in Somerset, it sounds a long way to go for work but I think it is an necessity in this industry to travel. I personally love travelling and seeing new parts of the country and meeting new people, at times it can get tiring but its not too bad at all really. It took me about 3hours on the train but I am use to it and I got to see some stunning views from the train window of the beautiful somerset countryside which was just lovely.

I was staying over at Stefano’s house for the night too to save on travelling back late and also gave us all more shooting time, which was really cool and made things much easier.

Stefano and Madam Bink were just the nicest and hospitable people I have met, very welcoming and cool indeed, fed me, made me cups of tea and beans on toast (thanks Bink) and the shooting experience was nothing but pure pleasure and creativity at its beat for me, what more could I ask for :).

I do shoot a lot of nude in my work which I totally enjoy, as I am very comfortable with my body. I get the most enjoyment from shooting fashion nude which I did with Stefano, I love fashion nude as it is more about the attitude and style in the expressions and I can completely let me self go when shooting , put the music on loud and just go in to my own little world and hopefully some great shots will come out of it.

I shoot a lot of nude with Adrian Crook, which I love as I feel completely comfortable with Adrian and He always encourages me to express myself and not to be scared of letting myself go, as this is what the top models do like- Kate Moss and Lara Stone- they have that ‘I don’t give a f–k’ attitude, which is very empowering and sexy, and ultamitally sells fashion, which definitely inspires myself.

Stefano and Bink were just amazing to work with and I think I have learnt a lot from them.

Bink was lovely to work with, as she is a working model herself, I think she as a great skill for encouraging and making the model feel comfortable and you can truly express yourself with Bink. She as a great style to her photography which has alot of emotion to it and I think she will go far as a photographer as well as a model.

As for Stefano, well he is the best of the best and I am very lucky to work with him and I hope to work with him again soon.

Stefano put this UN-retouched shot of me  up on facebook from the shoot as a sneak peek and I am very very pleased with it and it as had a great response so far :), thanks Stefano :).

I would like to say thank you to Stefano and Bink for having me and shooting with me, I had a really lovely time.

Shoots, Sunshine, Beer and Slot day …

Hello everyone, I have had a great week and this weekend I have done some great new work, I can’t wait for you to see.

Saturday I shot at ARC studio’s with Adrian Crook, again lol, we did a glamour set and a more sensual sexy set.  Me and Adrian went out and shopped for the clothes and accessories to style the shoot. I think accessories are so important on shoots and I am learning more about styling with every shoot and creative person I meet.  I think shops like Primark are just great for shoots, you have so much variety and cost is inexpensive too, so its great for accessories such as, sunglasses, necklaces, rings, scarves etc and Primark is where we went lol.

The style of glamour we wanted to created was a more front/attitude style, which will involve more styling than a more sensual/sexy shoot in my opinion. Long socks, baseball cap, funky jewellery really makes the look. It gives it a more fashion edge which helps the overall look mean more and gives me as a model more to work with.

The next aspect is to work on the make-up look, when doing my own make-up I usually do it simple with big glossy lips, as most people I have worked with will know I love Brigitte Bardot and I love the effortlessness of her look. She made her eyes and lips stand out and kept everything else simple, with tousled hair, I still love this look but now I love to try new things with  different make-up, it makes it more fun and it is also important to be versatile as a working model.

Yesterday I did my own make-up for the glamour shoot, I kept the base simple and used Revlon colorstay foundation in ivory, this is a great foundation for me and it looks natural but gives good coverage too. I used MUA  from superdrug eyeshadow palette to created my heavy smokey eyes which I also over eye-lined too. I don’t always use eyeliner but it gives me a very dramatic look and the more I practice, the better it’s getting, hopefully lol. I made my lips a deep pink and very glossy which some blush on cheeks. It took me about 20minutes to do the make-up and then on to shoot.

The shoot was great and flowed very well, Its great to sometimes let go of yourself and embrace being a woman and your own sexuality, it gives me confidence within myself and my own body. I love shooting when the music is playing too, you can just get into the movements of the tunes and go with it, and hopefully get the shots in there too :) .

The outcome of the shoot were some really cool images that are again different for my portfolio and expresses how I am changing as a model and growing as one too. Adrian is always brilliant to work with because he tells you the truth, if he doesn’t like a pose he will say and then push you to get better which I am completely grateful for as I always want to improve and learn.

Then today I shot a bridal shoot with Rob Georgeson and Nick English at Astley Hall in Chorely. Again complety different from the shoot with Adrian, I wasn’t naked and had a dress on, shock horror ha ha lol. It was a perfect day to shoot, the sun was beaming and well it was just lovely, Astley Hall is very beautiful and great for location and Vintage shoots-perfect for bridal. It was my first bridal shoot, so I was very excited indeed, which is probably a little sad lol, but its always fun to play the bride. After the shoot me Adrian and Ruby Henderson went down the pub to sit outside and have a beer, why not on a lovely day like this-Heaven :).

Also I have an up and coming slot day at ARC studio’s on the saturday 11th August starting from 10pm, first 4 hours are now sold, so get intouch asap as slots are going quick. I am modelling Fashion/glamour and Art Nude, £60 a slot, contact me or Adrian crook to book.

Enjoy the rest of the Sunshine everyone, I am going back out soon to see it :) :)

Love

My Fab Slot Day at arc photos in Preston….

Hey everyone,

Well yesterday I did my  slot day at arc studio’s. It was such a brilliant day from start to finish.

I worked with some lovely and talented photographer’s, I was very lucky indeed.

I woke up at 5.45am (yes i am mad lol) to prepare for the day. Curling my hair takes up most of my getting ready time lol, so if I do curly hair I get up a bit earlier so I’m not rushing. I  did my own make up at home before shoot, I do it simple and clean so later when I get to the studio I can add a little more and touch up, as this will only take a few minutes to do at studio.

Like most working models I carry a big travel case with me on shoots, this is usually packed the night before with all my stuff if I am being good :) which yesterday I was pleased to say I was :).

I get the Blackpool North train from Liverpool to Preston, I get to the studio around 9.10am so I had around 50mins to prepare until my first slot with the photographer. I would recommend Models to get to the studio a little earlier as you aren’t rushing and you can relax a bit before you start. I usually have a cuppa with Adrian who runs the studio, we have a chat and talk about the day a head, Cup of Tea is always a good start for me.

All the slots with the photographer’s where brilliant, each photographer have their own style but where all equally great to work with. Each photographer made me feel comfortable and at ease all total gentlemen, Thank you guys.

I cant wait to see more of the images that were taken and I hope you like them too. The image to the side was taken yesterday by Ian Austen on the slot day, I’m very happy with it :) xx.

I am now preparing for my workshop days with John Farrar, I am meeting him tomorrow night in Blackpool, where going to have fish and chips together, Lovely x x x

Lots of Love
