Street Fashion Workshop

  Hello Everyone,

Just dropping by to share some images I shot over last weekend in Liverpool and The Wirral on Adrian Crook’s Street Fashion workshop.

We had a great 2 days, the weather was rather worrying as it was predicted rain all over the weekend :( .However me and Adrian have done many street fashion shoots and we know to just go with it and work around the weather and also use it to your benefit.

Even though it did rain from time to time we still managed to shoot most of the day, using a mix of the streets and a derelict location found by Adrian.

We all came away with some great images.

These images are from Chris Sou who came over from Belgium to join us on this workshop.

Styling was kept simple, black and clean lines for the streets which also worked well for the derelict location, making for a great contrast.

Hope you enjoy looking through these images by Chris Sou and if you would like to join me and Adrian on future workshops please email adrian@gofototravel.com and visit Gofototravel.com

Thanks

Film, bed and me…

I had the pleasure of working with Brendan Gara at my home last wednesday. Brendan shoots with Film camera’s only, no digital. I have been shot with film many times and I really love the quality it brings to an image. I spoke to Brendan about why he likes using film so much and for him it is the overall process that suits his style and the spontaneity of developing the film for the final image.

The shoot was to be natural in posing and looks, nothing too posed but capturing me being sensual and free.

All these images were shot in a little spare bedroom at my home, using just natural light.

I think Brendan’s images are just beautiful and I would like to share them with you and please check out his work www.brendangara.com

In bed at Coco…

Hello everyone,

Excuse me for not blogging  in a while, I have so much to blog about but finding the time to do so can be a real pain.

Anyway, I have some beautiful new images I would like to share with you.

A couple of weeks ago I did a studio weekend at the fantastic Coco Studios in Nottingham, it was my first visit to the studio and I had an amazing time. The studio is one of the best I have been too and I would highly recommend going if you are up in Nottingham :)

One of the best things about Coco was the amazing natural light coming out of the big window at the back. I shot this set with New School Photography who is brilliant to work with and he kindly sent me these little gems to share with you all.

I love working in Natural light, especially when it’s soft and gentle light like in these images. Great for natural posing and expressions :)

Hope you like the images

Newton, Bayliss and Monaco…

I was delighted when all round talented Lizzie Bayliss asked me to model for her Helmut Newton inspired workshop which took place last weekend.

The workshop took place in the beautiful Sandon Hall Staffordshire, perfect backdrop for the Newton inspired images. Styling was kept simple, elegant and classy, mainly black and white clothes with some quirky accessories to give a surreal feel to some of the images.

I am a huge fan of Newton’s work and this style is right up my street, loved being apart of this workshop.

Urbex Girl

Last Friday I shot with photographer Gary Price in Birmingham. Me and Gary have shot together on several occasions since 2013. It is always great working with Gary as he understands how I work and lets me add my own spin on the story we are telling but he still directs me into the perfect composition with the right mood.

For this story Gary suggested we do something a little more raw in fashion, not too posed but as if he is just capturing my character in her own world, a grungier backdrop…so a Urbex environment was perfect for this idea.

We used a derelict building which Gary had found the day before. I am not too sure what is was, some sort of factory maybe?? I don’t know but it was perfect for what we needed and just an amazing space…we could have shot there all day, so many area’s you could use.

12036707_10207435528662506_2410974245931422263_n

The overall shoot was brilliant, loved working with Gary and also Alexei Svechnikov and his friend Pete who assisted on the shoot, thank you so much for an amazing day.

  Hope you like the images…

‘I AM WARRIOR PRINCESS’

Hello everyone

I am so pleased to bring to you these images from a fashion story we did a few weeks back. I am also stoked that they are now published on Stump Magazine in an exclusive editorial-i-am-warrior-nsfw

This day we shot 2 editorials, one was more fashion orientated (which I am dying to share with everyone) and ‘I AM WARRIOR’ being a  more fantasy/cinematic based story.

I worked with Adrian on coming up with the concept, we wanted to do something tribal and feral…a little nod to One Million Years BC but still remaining stylish and cool.  Bringing a character to life through the images, along with styling, hair/make-up and the right location was key.

Myself and Adrian found the perfect location, which could quiet possibly pass for a desert somewhere in America but no it’s in Wiltshire ;)

James Mcknight or The Dark Knight of make-up (as I like to call him) transformed me into a tribal warrior princess and was on hand at all times to keep me looking my best while in character. James make-up was amazing as usual and he brought the look together with skill and style.

The chain dress was made by Adrian’s fair hands himself.

I have to say anything that is character based and dramatic is something I just love doing. I don’t get to do images like these ones often as you need a full team and there is usually a lot of planning that goes involved, it can take weeks or months in-fact to get the shoot off the ground. However they are always worth waiting for….

Hope you enjoy them.

The New Classic

Hello everyone…Hope your enjoying the bank holiday weekend :) I’ve got a couple days off myself, enough time so I can do the cleaning, washing, shopping and being a normal person before I head off to Holland next week..yay.

I have had so much fun working the last 2 months, it’s been a little full-on… however I have enjoyed it immensely. I have even got to work alongside some other beautiful models which has been fantastic and I look forward in sharing the images with you all soon.

Going to keep this one short and sweet and share a lush fashion story by the talented Jamila Photography.

We shot this set earlier in the year and I am so pleased with how it has turned out. I always say you can’t go wrong with simple styling, some people have said to me ‘why do you wear suits and black a lot?’ well …because it looks good ;)

Enjoy

Monaco meet Munich

A couple of weeks ago I went to Munich to model for Damien Lovegrove this was for 3 days of  Boudoir, Art nude and Studio lighting workshops.

I was initially planning to go to Munich a while back to work with amazing Radmila Kerl, a photographer who I met on Damien’s Fuerteventura workshop 2 years ago. Timing was an issue the previous years and we finally all came together again through facebook chat and a few messages here and there… and I was invited to fly out in March…great :)

It’s always exciting going abroad to model, especially with a team of people, there is a real buzz and excitement about working in a different country. You also feel a little bit anxious because you don’t know what to except from the people and you hope everyone likes you…however there was no need to worry at all as I couldn’t of asked to work with nicer people.

Even though I knew that I would be well looked after by Damien and Radmila, I didn’t expect to stay in such a wonderful hotel. The first 2 days of workshops we stayed just outside of Munich in the Leebreghorf Hotel in the Mountains. It was just heaven, right on the lake and over looking the most beautiful views of snow top mountains and hills. My hotel room was huge, the food was delicious and the staff  fantastic, just stunning.

The 3 days just flew and I want to say a big thank you to Damien for inviting me and for all your hard work, so grateful to you.

Thank you to the wonderful Radmila for looking after me and for just being an amazing person-hope to see you soon.

Thank you to beautiful Jessica for making me look good every day , I enjoyed your company so much and hope to see you again, maybe for Oktoberfest ;)

And to all the delegates who came and made it happen :) Thank you.

Jeans, Trousers and Purple Rain.

Hello Everyone,

I have been away from my site now for some time, just getting back into my blogging and keeping you don’t up to date of my adventures.

Well I am back and posting some lovely cool images for you to enjoy.

This year has taken off to a great start for me, rammed packed with travels, bookings, shooting, filming and creativeness galore and that was only January.

One day I might come up for air… until then set your eyes on this super cool editorial by talented Photographer Kris Karl -http://kriskarl.com/

We shot this set a beginning of February at Scarlett door in Bracknell.

One of my favourite styles to shoot, a bit of fashion mix with skin…

Simple styling, energy, expression, attitude, put the music on and let’s go ;)

Enjoy x

I sometimes do ‘DIY’ …..

Even though I have worked with some amazing make-up artist and hair/stylist, I have often done my own make-up and hair for shoots. especially the ones for private projects.

This is usually for different reasons but mostly because of timing and trying to arrange dates with other creative’s can be tricky, schedules collide so over time I have leant to do my own make-up to a good standard for the work I do.

One of the biggest compliments I have had on my work was from a commercial shoot I did in London last year. The photographer on the job mentioned two images I did with Stefano Brunesci and Adrian Crook. One was the ‘Dark’ Image and the other ‘Eye wear’

Dark

Eye wear

3491-930406783

He said’ they are amazing images, who was the team on the days, I bet you had a whole team of creative’s working along side you to created those looks’, I laughed to myself and told him that it was just me and the photographer that was all. I felt quite smug that some of the work I have done is considered much more than it actually was.

I am a big fan of keeping things simple and not over doing it, I know how I can look my best and I am always learning new tricks and techniques along the way.

I did the make-up below last week for mine and Adrian’s DARK FASHION image for our upcoming workshop.

I did go a little adventurous on this which is not normally what I would do but I was very happy with the results and Adrian approved too which is cool :)  if Adrian doesn’t like something he tells me straight lol he is not shy about that.

So I was very happy with this look and I hope to do more in this similar style.

The power of the make-up brush.
