Urbex Girl

Last Friday I shot with photographer Gary Price in Birmingham. Me and Gary have shot together on several occasions since 2013. It is always great working with Gary as he understands how I work and lets me add my own spin on the story we are telling but he still directs me into the perfect composition with the right mood.

For this story Gary suggested we do something a little more raw in fashion, not too posed but as if he is just capturing my character in her own world, a grungier backdrop…so a Urbex environment was perfect for this idea.

We used a derelict building which Gary had found the day before. I am not too sure what is was, some sort of factory maybe?? I don’t know but it was perfect for what we needed and just an amazing space…we could have shot there all day, so many area’s you could use.

The overall shoot was brilliant, loved working with Gary and also Alexei Svechnikov and his friend Pete who assisted on the shoot, thank you so much for an amazing day.

  Hope you like the images…

Liverpool Street Fashion Workshop

I was so happy to be back in my home town of Liverpool last weekend, it’s always nice to catch up with friends and family as-well as fitting in some work in between.

Myself and Adrian put on a Fashion workshop in Liverpool on the Sunday, we used a few locations near the Albert Dock and then went across the River Mersey to the Wirral. We shot in a very cool location that Adrian had found the day before. The location was some old work yard that was probably something to do with the docks, it is just about to get demolished, so we had a great chance to get in there and use it with permission from the site owners :)

We wanted the styling for this shoot to be simple and chic with clean lines but still having an urban feel to the looks.

It was a great day of teaching and all the photographers worked really hard and came away with great images.

Here are a selection of images Adrian took on the day as demonstration shots…

90’s Back ‘Let me be your Fantasy’

Yesterday I woke up with an urge to try a new style on myself. I am always looking for something different to try as I have done so many styles over the years, so I can get bored doing the same stuff at times.  Also I believe if you have an idea in your head you should get it out and express while it is fresh, rather than leave it too late because sometimes the energy and passion has gone by then.

Fashion wise, I love the latest throw back to the 90’s, I’m a child of the 90’s and this was when I first discovered fashion/ film and music.

The 90’s was when supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Linda Evanglista-who famously said she wouldn’t get out of bed for less then £10,000 dollas a day.  When Winona Ryder and Gwen Stefani were style Icons and when we all watched Fresh Prince of Bell-Air. The Spice Girls were always number 1 on the top 40,  Clueless and The Craft were my favourite films, the decade smelled of CK One and when Cadbury’s Freddo’s where 10p, who remembers that ;).

So yesterday I styled my hair and make-up with a little hip-hop/Dance twist and a nod to the 90’s style and I absolutely love the images.

Adrian shot them yesterday morning for me and I am so pleased with how they turned out.

If I had to choose a song that goes with these images this would be it- Enjoy…
